Mopanians spent 67 minutes painting two schools in Namakgale.
In honour of Mandela Day, Mopani South East FET College Council, Staff and Student Representative Council spent their 67 minutes painting at Zamani Primary and Relebogile High School in Namakgale on 18 July.
With the painting initiative, the college sought to create a good learning environment for the learners because school is where they spend most of their time and thus need to be a conducive environment.
COLLEGE RECEIVES UNQUALIFIED AUDIT REPORT
Mopani South East FET College received an Unqualified Audit Report for 2011.
This is a remarkable achievement for the Finance Department who worked tirelessly to ensure the clean report for three years in succession.
Obtaining an unqualified audit report is an indication that the external auditors’ opinion deems the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of Mopani South East FET College as at 31 December 2011 and its financial performance and cash flows for the year then ended in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP) and the requirements of the Further Education and Training Colleges Act.
Mopani South East FET College annually hosts a graduation ceremony where students who have successfully completed their courses are awarded with certificates and diplomas.
A total of 139 students of Mopani South East FET College graduated on 7 September at Sir Val Duncan Campus Multi-Purpose Hall after successfully completing their studies.
The National Certificates Vocational and National Diploma graduates wore smiles from ear to ear as they ascended to the stage to accept their deserved certificates and diplomas.
The graduandees were in various fields of studies i.e Business, Engineering, Information Technology and Hospitality.
